Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 8, 2026

Your training data stays on your device.

About this policy

SquashForge is an offline squash training planner provided by CipherMind. This policy describes the current app and this privacy-policy website.

Data stored in the app

Your plans, custom drills, notes, training sessions, training records, and preferences are stored locally on your device. The app uses this information to organize workouts, guide training, and show your history. We do not receive or upload this data. SquashForge has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. PRO video downloads use the services described below. We do not sell personal information or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Apple Watch and Apple Health

Apple Watch training is optional. When you use it, the app requests health access on your iPhone and Apple Watch. With your permission, the app reads training heart rate and active energy, records and saves workouts created by this app to Apple Health, and reads its own workouts to confirm saving and recover their state. Heart rate, active energy, training times, and associated records may be stored in the app locally and synced between your paired Apple Watch and iPhone to display training status and records. The developer does not receive or upload training or health data to a server or use it for advertising, marketing, or sale.

You can manage the app’s health access in Apple Health or system settings. Denying or revoking access may prevent Watch health collection and workout saving, but does not prevent phone training that does not depend on health data. Apple Health data, including its sync and backups, is managed by Apple and your system settings.

Subscriptions, restoring purchases, and offer codes

PRO monthly subscriptions, restoring purchases, and redeeming offer codes are handled through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. The app uses verified transaction information supplied by Apple, such as product identifiers, entitlement expiration, and revocation status, to determine PRO access. Lifetime access can be redeemed through the corresponding Apple product. The developer does not process your payment card or bank account details, PRO video authorization sends signed purchase information as described below; health data is not sent. Apple manages payments, billing, subscription cancellation, and refunds; its data handling is subject to its privacy policy. The app’s PRO page lets you restore purchases, manage an existing subscription, or redeem an offer code.

PRO video authorization and downloads

Free videos are included in the app. When you request a PRO video or download all videos in Settings, the app sends the requested video identifier and Apple-signed purchase information to our authorization service hosted by Alibaba Cloud Function Compute in Hong Kong. This includes transaction and original transaction identifiers, product identifiers, purchase and expiration dates, and entitlement status supplied by Apple. The service verifies the signature and queries Apple’s App Store Server API for current PRO access before issuing a short-lived download URL and video decryption key. Apple processes purchase verification under its own privacy policy. These requests do not include your training plans, records, notes, heart rate, or health data.

Encrypted videos are stored in Alibaba Cloud Object Storage Service (OSS) and delivered through Alibaba Cloud CDN. These providers process connection information, including IP address, requested URL and video file, request time, user-agent, response status, and transferred bytes, to deliver content, secure the service, and diagnose failures. CDN nodes may process requests in different regions. Purchase credentials are processed for the authorization request only; the function does not save them in a database or output them to application logs. Function operational logs (such as request identifiers, timestamps, duration, and outcome) and CDN access logs are retained for 30 days. We do not use this information for advertising, cross-app tracking, or user profiling.

Downloaded video files remain locally until you remove them using the app’s available controls or delete the app. Watching PRO videos requires active PRO access, including offline viewing. The app excludes downloaded video cache files from device backups. Deleting local data does not immediately erase service logs; logs expire after the retention period. Contact us about privacy requests using the address below.

Audio, Live Activities, and permissions

Training voice cues play on your device, including during supported background training. The app does not record audio or access your microphone. A Live Activity can show the plan name and training status on your Lock Screen; you can control Live Activities in iOS Settings. Apart from the health access described above, SquashForge does not access location, contacts, camera, or photos, and does not send remote push notifications.

Retention, deletion, and device backups

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete plans, custom drills, and training records using the app’s available Delete actions. Deleting a plan or drill does not delete historical training snapshots; delete the associated training records separately. Deleting the app through iOS removes its local app data; offloading the app retains its documents and data. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple or computer backup settings. Manage and delete those backups separately. Deleting an in-app training record or deleting the app does not automatically delete workouts already saved to Apple Health; delete those separately in Apple Health. Revoking health access does not automatically delete existing records either. We cannot access, retrieve, or remotely delete your local data, health records, or backups.
